Sony never hyped Home to be the second coming. It was media outlets like the 1up show, and all the other undercover fanboys doing podcasts and writing articles.

PS3 was outsold in North America almost all of 2008, and apparently PS3 outsold 360 in EU by a not so large margin, especially since the 360 has pretty much erased those gains in a mere two months time.

all anyone (developers)cares about is total sales, and PS3 will never catch the other two, the price drops will come but by then 360 and Wii will be miles ahead of PS3.
By the time booray is more mainstream PS3 will be so deep in the hole it won't matter, plus the Xbox 720 will be on it's way out.

Sony promised the PS3 would deliver us from evil, cure cancer and bring world peace yada yada yada, but instead it has just proven that it cant handle basic gaming engines (UE3) and it takes twice as long to do what 360 does in half the time game code wise.
Sony then said screw all of you we aint dropping the price till we feel like it.

If it was 360 sales down from previous year and in 3rd place, the headlines would all read, "Wii dominates at 2 million sold while 360 sales continue to drop" or "Wii and PS3 sales continue to climb while 360 sales keep sinking"
I think all three of the big three games sites totally downplayed PS3s disastrous sales trend, the real media is just telling it like it is.

neither console is anywhere near being maxed out, devs cant possibly know all the ins and outs and techniques of the multicore processors yet.

If the UE is so outdated then what does that say about the PS3 having so much trouble running it. With the "power of the cell" surely PS3 should rip an old outdated engine like Unreal to shreds?
The reason MS does not put priority on graphics is because they are not trying to prove that 360 is all powerful, that is what Sony wastes millions on, graphics, and that is why 360 games have better gameplay.
